That is why we have decided to carefully select the parcles. In our opinion, this is the first box to tick to achieve ultimate wines, before talking about wine making process.
As of today, we have found parcels in Pauillac, Medoc, St Emilion Grand Cru and Pomerol and we present 4 very different SGC wines.
Parcels can be given a note, taking into consideration various element of the soil including, layer of ground type, irrigation, nitrogen level, vivacity of the vines and the age of the trees. SGC only selects the top parcels.
Due to the specificity of the process involved, SGC's inaugural vintage, 2009, produced a mere 41,728 bottles. The wish to keep our limited production amongst oenophiles and collectors has inspired a closed purchasing system of allocation via invitation only.
Le Cercle SGC is a private members' club whose members are carefully approved by the board of SGC for their shared passion of exquisite wine.
